Original postcard Chocolate La Estrella
Originally ordered by Romania from the Pattison Shipyard, Naples, Italy in 1913 using a Luigi Scaglia design as the Viscol, requisitioned by Italy and fitted out as the scout cruiser Falco in 1915, laid down on 19 August 1916, launched on 16 August 1919, commissioned on 20 January 1920, sold to Nationalist Spain in 1937, renamed (Velasco-) Ceuta, fitted out with a fourth false funnel, later used as training ship and broken up in 1948. Displacement 1.620 (normal)-1.790 (full load) tons and as dimensions 94,3 (over all) x 9,5 x 3,6 metres or 309.5 x 31.2 x 11.10 feet. The 2 geared steam turbines and 4 Thornycroft boilers supplying 40.000 shp allowing a speed pf 34 knots and with a speed of 15 knots a range of 3.000 nautical miles. Crew numbered 146 men. Armament consisted of 3x1-15,2cm/6” guns, 4x1-7,6cm/3” anti aircraft guns, 2x2-45,7cm/17.7” torpedo tubes and 24-44 mines.
