Around 30 enemy submarines active in the Atlantic Ocean according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee daily summary dated 3 May 1942

An item reported that the daily summary dated 1 May dealing with the submarines of the enemy was unchanged. Around 30 submarines were active on the Atlantic Ocean west of the longitude of the Azores apparently for the major part in the latitudes north of Jacksonville, Florida, USA.
