American whaling bark Romulus visited Honolulu, Hawaii according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 19 May 1849

An item reported the arrival at Honolulu, Hawaii on 12 May by the American whaling bark Romulus master Cartwright coming from cruising. The edition dated 9 June 1849 reported her still lying in the harbour. Abandoned and in charge of the American consul?
