Boiler exploded on board of British destroyer HMS Albacore according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche courant dated 7 April 1914

An item dated London, England 7 April reported that a day earlier on board of the British destroyer HMS Albacore berthed at Chatham a boiler exploded killing 3 men.(1)

1. Building ordered on 8 May 1908, laid down by Palmers Shipbuilding and Iron Company, Jarrow, United Kingdom on 1 September 1905, launched on  9 October 1908, commissioned on 27 March 1909 and sold to be broken up on 1 August 1919. Part of B-class destroyers.
