British destroyer HMS Badger sunk German submarine according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche courant dated 26 October 1914

An item dated London, England 24 October reported that the British destroyer HMS Badger rammed and sunk a German submarine near the Dutch coast. Her bow was slightly damaged.(1)

1. Built under 1910-1911 shipbuil;ding programme. Launched by William Denny&Brothers, Dumbarton, Scotland with yard number 933 on 11 July 1911 and sold on 9 May 1921. Part of Acheron-class destroyers, preceded by Acorn-class, succeeded by Acasta-class.
