An item reported that the Dutch destroyer Hr.Ms. Panter under construction at the shipyard Fijenoord at Rotterdam, Netherlands was to be docked next week at Middelburg, Netherlands and to execute afterwards trials in the roads of Vlissingen, Netherlands.(1)

1. The edition dated 8 January 1914 reported an excellent performed official full power trial with a maximum speed of 30.3 knots with 408 rpm. Of the Wolf or Roofdier-class, built with using a British Yarrow&Co. design. Built under budget 1911, laid down on 14 September 1912, launched on 9 September 1913, commissioned on 2 March 1913, converted into an aviso in 1928 and stricken in 1934. The newspaper De Indische courant dated 21 March 1935 reported that she was sunk in 1935 by the Dutch cruiser Hr.Ms. Java when used as target off the Gili’s, Sotrh East of Madura.
