A report of the Seeschiffahrtsamt S S8 RIA 2400/43 dated 16 August 1943 reported the rebuilding of the Feldherrn-class motor cargo ships Radetzky, Prinz Eugen, Erzherzog Karl, Laudon of 380 tons deadweight to be used on the Black Sea. The first two by the E.D.D.S.G. yard at Korneuburg, Austria, to be ready late 1943. The last two by E.D.D.S.G. yard at Obuda, Budapest, Hungary, this shipyard had a lot of naval orders, so the Laudon was not be ready for begin 1944, probably the same for the Prinz Eugen.
