An item reported that in the night of 12-13 May enemy submarines sunk another 2 ships part of the North Atlantic convoy bound for the west. Of the 40 ships the convoy numbered were in the meantime 7 ships with a total gross tonnage of around 36.000 tons lost. It was believed that the convoy was shadowed by 4 enemy submarines. The summary No. 154 dated 13 May mentioned the convoy before. Another convoy in the Northwestern Atlantic was also attacked but all four torpedoes were fired without results. Submarines of the enemy were still active in the West Atlantic area especially off the east and south coasts of Florida and in the Gulf of Mexico.
