Of the Akizuki-class. Displacement 2.701 (standard)-3.485 (full load) tons and as dimensions 413 3.8 (between perpendiculars)-433 (waterline)-440 1/4 (over all) x 38 x 13 2/3 feet. Laid down by Uraga Dock Co. Ltd. on 25 August 1943, launched on 25 September 1944, completed and commissioned on 31 January 1945, taken over by the Chinese navy on 29 August 1947 as war reparations, training ship since 1 October 1949, by 1958 laid up, unable to steam or steer and disarmed and broken up in 1963.
Crew numbered 290 men. Machinery consisted of 3 Kampon boilers and 2 turbines supplying 52.000 shp allowing a speed of 33 knots. Original armament 4x2-10cm/4” 65 cal Type 98 dual purpose guns, a large number of 25mm/0.98”anti aircraft guns, 4-61cm/24” torpedo tubes and 54 Type 95 depth charges ( in 1958 was reported 72).
