French Greenland whaler St. George returned home according to the Dutch newspaper Amsterdamse courant dated 26 August 1688

An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 25^th reported the arrival at Saint Malo, France of the Greenland whaler St. George with 17 whales, 450 quardelen train oil  and 200 barrels blubber and that the catch off the North Cape Norway had been successful but in other areas worse. A second Greenland whaler of Saint Malo the la Janne had in July already a catch of 400 quardelen train oil.
