An item reported the arrival in the Table Bay, South Africa on 6 February of the American whaler Izette master B. Sistare (?) which left Salem, USA on 1 June 1835 on a whaling cruise. Loaded with 900 barrels oil. Put in for refreshments. Shipping agent was US consul Isaac Chase.
