An item reported the arrival on 4 February in the Table Bay, South Africa of the American whaler Lydie master C. Ramsden (?) which left Salem, USA on 23 September 1835 (?) on a whaling cruise. Loaded with 400 barrels oil. Shipping agents was US consul Isaac Chase.
