An item dated Vichy France 27th reported that on 29th the hostilities in Indochina would stop at 10.00 o’clock. (1) A second item dated Saigon 27th referred to an official statement that the negotiations for an armistice would be held on board of the Japanese cruiser which was expected to arrive tomorrow. Another newspaper Soerabaijsch handelsblad dated 28 January called her Natori. (2)

Part of the Nagara-class light cruisers, preceded by Kuma-class, succeeded by Sendai-class, building ordered under the 1919 Fiscal Year, laid down on 14 December 1920, launched on 16 February 1922, commissioned on 15 September 1922, sunk by the American submarine Hardhead (SS-365) east of Samar, Philippine Sea and stricken on 18 August 1944.
