Whaling schooner Maid of Mona visited South Africa according to the The Cape of Good Hope Almanac and Annual Register for 1846

The New Pictorial and Illustrated Family Magazine established for the diffusion of useful knowledge, 

vol. III. Robert Sears editor, New York 1846.

An item reported the arrival in the Table Bay on 25 May 1845 by the whaling schooner Maid of Mona with a tonnage of 98 tons, master H. Blake, coming from Rio on 18 April and departing on 17 June.
