British corvette HMS Zinnia sunk according to the Dutch newspaper De grondwet dated 3 September 1941

An item referred to a statement of the British Admiralty that the British corvette Zinnia was sunk without survivors of her crew.

Note

1. K98. Flower-class corvette, building ordered on 31 August 1939, laid down by Smiths Dock Company, South Bank-on-Tees, Middlesbrough, England on 20 August 1940, launched on 28 November 1940, commissioned on 30 March 1941 and sunk by the German submarine U-564 west of Portugal on 23 August 1941.
