Italian battleship Duilio stayed behind at Turkish city Adalia according to the Secret Admiralty Weekly Intelligence Summary Nr. 31 for the week ending 6 August 1921

Andrea Doria-class battleships

 item reported that Italy evacuated Adalia (1) leaving the battleship Duilio (2) temporarily despite that the local christians feared a massacre.

Notes

1. Turkish city occupied by Italy between 1919-1921.

2. Also called Caio Duillio or the Andrea Doria-class battleships, preceded by Conte di Cavour-class, succeeded by Littorio-class (realized) and Francesco Caraccioki-class (planned), laid down by Regio Cantiere di Castellammare di Stabia on 24 February 1912, launched on 24 April 1913, completed on 10 May 1915, stricken on 15 September 1956 and broken up in 1957.
