An item reported that the British battleship HMS Temeraire (1) would depart Portsmouth, England on 24 January 1921, visit Coruna, Spain 26-31 January, Gibraltar 2-16 February, Alicante, Spain 17-21 February, Cannes, France 22 February-1 March, Villefrance, France 1-7 March, Leghorn, Italy 7-11 March, Castellamare, Italy 12-18 March, Syracuse, Italy 18-22 March, Malta 23 March-6 April, Algiers, Algeria 8-15 April, Gibraltar 17-21 April and returning at Portsmouth on 25 April.

Building ordered on 30 October 1906, laid down by HM Dockyard Devonport on 1 January 1907, launched on 24 August 1907, completed in May 1909, commissioned on 15 May 1909, decommissioned in 1921 and sold to be broken up on 7 December 1921. Of the Bellerophon-class battleships, preceded by HMS Dreadnought and succeeded by St. Vincent-class.
