British light cruiser HMS Cardiff cruising in the Mediterranean according to the Weekly Intelligence Summary No. 2 dated 15 January 1921

An item reported that the British light cruiser HMS Cardiff would depart from Malta around 3 February bound for Smyrna [Izmir, Turkey], Lemnos, Greece and Constantinople and to arrive at Constantinople, Turkey on 11 February, then depart on 15 February for visiting the North Anatolian coast and Batoum, Georgia returning on 24 February.(1)

1. C-class Ceres sub-class, Preceded by Arethusa-class, succeeded by Danae-class, building ordered in March-April 1915, laid down by Fairfield Shipbuilding and Engineering Company, Govan, Scotland on 22 July 1916, launched on 12 April 1917, completed on 25 June 1917, decommissioned on 3 September 1945 and sold to be broken up on 23 January 1946.
