British Saunders-Roe shipyards intended to built nuclear propelled submarine tanker according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad van het Zuiden dated 23 October 1957

An item dated London, England 23 October reported that the British Saunders-Roe shipyards were to built a submarine tanker of 80,000 tons and a speed of 50 knots and to cruise several thousands of kilometres without the necessity to come to the surface. Experiments with different models of the hull were already carried out. The British department of defence denied to have any knowledge of this project. A BBC reported visited the yard at Cowes, Wight and described eight different models of he shape of the hull.
