Dutch cabinet bought three Victory ships according to the Dutch newspaper De tijd dated 22 January 1947

An item reported that the Dutch cabinet bought from the USA three Victory ships of which the management of one was handed over to the Stoomvaart Maatschappij Nederland and the other two to the Rotterdamsche Lloyd. The ships were to be converted into troop transports bound for the colonies. At the same time were ships now used for this purpose to be returned tot heir owners which were lacking cargo capacity.
