An item reported that launching on 10th June of the German dreadnought Ersatz Heimdall now christened Friedrich der Grosze. Just like her recently launched sister ship Kaiser was she the first German dreadnought fitted out with turbine machinery.

Part of Kaiser-class, preceded by Helgoland-clas succeeded by König-class, laid down by AG Vulcan, Hamburg, Germany on 26 January 1910, launched on 10 June 1911, commissioned on 15 October 1912, scuttled at Gutter Sound, Scapa Flow, Orkney Islands on 21 June 1919 and salvaged and broken up between 1936-1937.
