An item reported that begin June 1964 2-1,800 ton refrigerated fishery carriers were under construction for a large Japanese fishing company. After completion were to vessels to be used for shipping Atlantic trawl catches to Japan. Two more vessels were also planned. With those 4 vessels possessed the company totaly six of this type of vessels in the Atlantic trawl fleet. The other two ere the in 964 built 1,800 tons Bashu Maru no. 11 and No. 12.
