Ordered on 8 May 2001 to replace the Island-class offshore patrol ships active in the fisheries protevtion. Part of River-class. Gross register tonnage 2,109 tons, displacement >1,677-1,700< tons and as dimensions 73.6 (between perpendiculars)-79.75 (over all) x 13.6 x 3.8 metres. Armament 1-2cm Oerlikon cannon and 2x1 7.62mm general purpose machine guns. Speed above 20 knots.
