Possible building of new L.C.V.P.’s at Shangai, China according to the Australia Station Intelligence Summary dated 7 January 1956

An item reported on 21 October of the possible building of new L.C.V.P.’s (Landing Craft Vehicle Personnel) at Shangai. There were 30-40 seen and at many of the shipyards along the Whampoo was the building going on, each with a length of 40-40 feet and with pointed bows resembling miniture L.S.T.’s, decked over forward the bridge but sill lacking their armament.
