An item referred to COM 10 reporting that the navy and Caribbean air force observed the situation at Martinique. Two destroyers were present off Fort de France with naval patrol planes and the Caribbean Bomber Command standby at Antigua, St. Lucia and Trinidad. The J.I.C. commented that the Caribbean forces were ready for action despite the agreement with admiral Robert.(1)
