Part of the Holland-class ocean going patrol vessels of four ships all built by Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding, Vlissingen, Netherlands. The casco’s were built at the Damen shipyard at Galatz, Romania and completed at the Damen shipyard at Vlissingen. This class was designed to be used for coast guard duties in the Netherlands and the Caribbean area including search and rescue and calamity tanks. Further more they were to be used for maritime safety purposes as patrolling against piracy. In 2011 was the decision to sell two off the vessels for budget savings; however not executed. Laid down on 8 December 2008, launched and christened by the Dutch queen Beatrix on Tuesday 2 February 2010, starting executing trials begin March 2011 and commissioned on 6 July 2012. MMSI 244522000 and call sign PAVA.
