Colliers ready for running Japanese blockade of Port Arthur acccording to the Dutch newspaper Deli courant dated 27 September 1904

An item reported that a number of colliers lying in the Kiautschou Bay Tsingtao [then theGerman leased Kiautschou Bay Leased Territory, nowadays Qingdao, China] would try to run the Japanese blockade of Port Arthur. The Russians seemed in desparate need of coal.(1)
