Belgian whaler Oceanie visited Lahaina, Hawaii according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 18 October 1851

An item reported the arrival at Lahaina, Hawaii on 16 October of the Belgian whaler Oceanie master Radau coming from the Arctic 9 months out 250 (?) barrels whale oil 3.000 lbs bone.(1)

1. The Dutch newspaper De Nederlander dated 18 June 1850 reported the founding at Antwerp, Belgium of a Belgium-flagged whaling company and that the first whaler was laid down.
