An item dated Washington, USA 27 February reported that the US secretary of navy asked the approval of building a 32.0000 tons battleship.(1) This new building was a result of the building by Japan of 2-32.000 tons battleships which was now (un)officially heard by the US cabinet.(2)

2. That must be the 29,326 tons 6x2-35.6cm/14” guns Fuso-class battleships consisting of the Fuso and Yamashiro preceded by Kawachi-class succeeded by Ise-class.
