Characteristics of German light cruiser Nürnberg as reported to the British Admiralty on 8 November 1935

An item reported that the German Marineattaché captain Erwin Wassner at London informed the British Admiralty conform the Anglo-German Naval Agreement dated 18 June 1935 that the light cruiser Nürnberg laid down on 4 November 1933, completed on 2 November 1935. Standard displacement (article 6 of Treaty) 6,000/6,06 metric tons and as dimensions 170,0 (waterline) x 16,43 (extreme beam at or below waterline) x 4,3 (mean draught at standard displacement) metres. Heaviest calibre 15cm.

Note

1. Part of Leipzig-class preceded by Königsberg class succeeded by planned but not realized M-class cruiser. Became after the war the Russian Admiral Makarov.
