An item reported that despite the numerous reports of enemy submarine activities in the western Atlantic during the past 24 hours just 3 attacks were reported: 1 in the vicinity of Cape Sable, 1 at St. John’s, Newfoundland and 1 north of Dominica. Contacts with submarines were reported along the whole coastline from St. John’s, Newfoundland to Dominican Republic and 300 miles northeast of Martinique.
