Enemy submarine activities in the Atlantic theater remained on same level according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 21 January 1942

An item reported that according to J.I.C. comments there was nothing changed in the enemy submarine activities in the Atlantic theater. There were since 12 January 18 attacks reported resulting in 6 ships definitely sunk, two probably sunk, two may by salvaged, three lying damaged in the harbour, one or perhaps two undamaged and three unknown.
