American whaling brig Inga 1840-1841

 

Of Wareham. Departed in April 1840. Returned on 7 April 1841, with 696 barrels sperm oil, 12 barrels whale oil. Measured 160 tons. Captain Elisha G. Cudworth. Sold to New Bedford in 1848, departing from there on 9 May 1848 for the Indian Ocean. Captain Barnes. In December 1852 captured by the natives of Pleasant Island killing her captain and most of the crew members.
