Laid down by Armstrong Whitworth, Elswick, England for Chile on 27 November 1911, launched as Almirante Latorre on 27 November 1913, acquired by the British government on 9 September 1914, commissioned as HMS Canada on 15 October 1915, decommissioned in March 1919, sold to Chile in April 1920, commissioned as Almirante Latorre on 1 August 1920, refitted between 1929-1931 and sold to be broken up in Japan in 1959. Part of the Almirante Latorre-class Preceded by Capitán Prat.
