Part of Chao Ho-class (Zhào Hé) preceded by Hai Chi-class succeeded by planned Number 64 or Monfalcone light cruisers and Ning Hai-classes. Laid down by Armstrong Whitworth, England on 7 October 1910, launched on 23 October 1911, completed on 21 February 1912, decommissioned in 1923, acquired by the Beiyang Government in December 1923, commissioned on 5 January 1924, reacquired by the Republic of China on 39 December 1928, recommissioned on 31 December 1928 and sunk by Japanese aircraft in the Pearl river delta/Gunagzhou on 30 September 1937.
