Portuguese Junta Nacional da Marinha Mercante inventorying needed fuel oil capacity in October 1942

In his letter No. 1883 dated 19 October 1942 referred the German naval attaché in Portugal to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine at Berlin to the newspaper Seculo, Lisbon dated 14 October 1942 reporting that the Junta Nacional da Marinha Mercante asked the companies which cargoes their ships had to transport before the end of the month, the fuel consumption of each ship and the distance to be sure that the necessary quantity of fuel was available.
