Finnish navy trying to protect merchant shipping in the Gulf of Bothnia in December 1939

An item reported that if the Finnish navy was not driven off by Russian heavy naval ships she should be able to prevent Russian light forces to attack the merchant shipping in the Gulf of Bothnia.(1)
