French armoured cruiser Victor Hugo 1903-1930


Belonged to the Leon Gambetta-class with as sister ships Leon Gambetta and Jules Ferry. With a displacement of 12.400-12.500 tons were her dimensions 148 x 21,4 x 8,20 metres. Laid down in March 1903 at the navy yard at Lorient, launched on 30 March 1904, commissioned in 1904, decommissioned in January 1928 and sold to be broken up on 26 November 1930. Her speed was 22 knots. The armament consisted of 2x2-19,4cm guns, one turret fore and one aft, 16-16,4cm guns, 22-4,7cm guns and 4-45cm torpedo tubes.
