Skinner arrived in the morning of 21 June 1833 with his ship in the harbour of Muscat. Her he saw some ships of the navy of Muscat.
p. 356: "A number of fine vessels lie in the harbour, belonging to the navy of the Imaun of Muscat. They were all built at Bombay, and one of them is considered the best ever launched from those docks. She is a beautiful model, but wretched filthy and neglected; the Imaun has not lately had any occasion to use his fleet".
