Dutch whaler Vrijheid for sale at Amsterdam according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamse courant dated 14 October 1788

An announcement reported that the brokers T. Beth Ysbrandz. A. Dykman, S.A. Lenaertz, A.D. van Wijk, H. Snyders and J.H. de Witt intended to sell on Monday 27 October in the Nieuwezyds Heeren Logement at Amsterdam the extra ordinary well sailing fluytship Vryheid, commandeur Pieter Mooy, dimensions 117 x 2910”x 12 and steering platform 93”, in 1787 fitted out with a new fore mast and all the whale catchers tools of the commandeur. The newspaper Amsterdamsche courant dated 21 October 1788 confirmed this announcement.
