Cable ship Colonis laying cable between Keeling and Fremantle according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland dated 16 January 1926

An item dated London 15 January reported that the large cable ship Colonis left London to lay down a cable with a length of 1,800 nautical miles between Keeling, Indian Ocean and Freemantle, Australia to improve the connections between Europe and Australia.
