A tiding from Harderwijk dated 5 November reported that on 7 November was to depart towards Hellevoetsluis a detachment of 100 non-commissioned officers and soldiers commanded by the infantry captain H.F. Odyk of the East Indies Army who returned from leave, 1st infantry lieutenant J. Liest, 2nd artillery lieutenant C. Schotberg, 2nd infantry lieutenants E.C. van Dalen and F.H. Deval and the officers of health 3rd class F.W.A. Stumpff and A. Schults to be embarked on 12 November on board of the Prinses Sophia with as destination Java.
