Sea tidings from Batavia, Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviasche koloniale courant dated 6 July 1810

An item dated Batavia 5^th July reported that 29 June arrived a launch of Macassar, a paduakan of Bali and a prauwmaijang of Cheribon. The American schooner Experiment master Doteij departed towards Marakhasi and from there with the Thames towards New York.

The 30^th arrived a launch of Sumanap.

The 1^st arrived six prauwmaijangs with recruits of Cheribon, a paduakan of Sumanap and one of Macassar.

The 2^nd arrived the American schooner Cornelia master Totten of New York with on board Ridder Cicquel reported that rear admiral Buyskes with his brig was captured by a British schooner off Bermuda and that he was seriously wounded to this thigh. Further more arrived a paduakang of Macassar and a dug-out canoe of Grissee.

The 3^rd arrived the second expected brig from l’Ile de France and a brig of Banda with the Chinese master Lim Lauwko.
