An item dated Batavia 5th July reported that 29 June arrived a launch of Macassar, a paduakan of Bali and a prauwmaijang of Cheribon. The American schooner Experiment master Doteij departed towards Marakhasi and from there with the Thames towards New York .
The 30th arrived a launch of Sumanap.
The 1st arrived six prauwmaijangs with recruits of Cheribon, a paduakan of Sumanap and one of Macassar.
The 2nd arrived the American schooner Cornelia master Totten of New York with on board Ridder Cicquel reported that rear admiral Buyskes with his brig was captured by a British schooner off Bermuda and that he was seriously wounded to this thigh. Further more arrived a paduakang of Macassar and a dug-out canoe of Grissee.
The 3rd arrived the second expected brig from l’Ile de France and a brig of Banda with the Chinese master Lim Lauwko.
