German Luerssenyard building patrol vessels for Indonesia according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuw Suriname dated 30 March 1962

An item reported that last Wednesday two patrol vessels built at the Luerssenyard at Bremen were sent towards Djakarta. The Indonesian government ordered twelve patrol vessels of which now totally six were launched. The newspaper Leeuwarder Courant dated 29 March confirmed this item adding that the dimensions were 28 x 5 metres, a measurement of 30 tons and the maximum speed 26 miles.(1)

1. The newspaper Nieuw Guinea koerier dated 4 April that the ms Duesseldorf, a freighter of the Hamburg Amerika Linie could be seen in Amsterdam with as deck load two unarmed Indonesian motor patrol vessels built by Luerssen.
