Russia changed quarantaine rules according to the Dutch newspaper Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 15 June 1839

An item reported that the Russian government decided on 25 April that merchant ships which loaded suspicious cargoes and which had been in quarantaine in Standgate, Milfors or Motherbank near Portsmouth no longer needed a second quarantaine period in Denmark but were allowed to visit Russian Baltic ports if they showed a certificate from one of the three British ports.
