An item dated Capelle aan den IJssel 25 August reported that the same day at the shipyard of shipbuilder Charles Hoogendijk Az. With success the brig ship Sirene of 140 lasten for Willem C. Versluys in Rotterdam, Netherlands was launched, captain was A.J. Boone.
