Dutch whaler Zeegen en Yver sold at Amsterdam, Netherlands on 9 October 1769

Sold on an auction 9 October 1769 in the Nieuwezyds Heeren Logement at Amsterdam the whaler Zeegen en Yver. This extra ordinary seaworthy sailing frigate ship had as master Hendrik Kim and was newly fitted out in 1754. Her dimensions were 109½ x 31’2”x 14’1”, the verdeck 5’7” Amsterdam foot. Costs ƒ 4.7000 with and adjudication of ƒ 20. Arnoud Goldberg on behalf of his master. Hendrik Kim was a commandeur in the Strait Davis-whale-fishery. He sailed in service of Pieter Engelen en Compagnie at Amsterdam. His results were 1½ whales, 70 barrels whale-blubber and 90 quardelen train-oil.
