The Greek and Turkish navies in the Mediterranean according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 1 January 1827

Vienna, 20 December 1826. The Capitan Pasha is still waiting with his fleet off the Dardanelles doubting to stay there during the winter or to return to the harbour of Constantinople. After the departure of the Capitan Pasha from Mitijlente [28 October] the Greeks left just a few ships in the waters of Nicaria and Samos behind, while the main part returned to their harbours.
