Dutch corvette Zr.Ms. Atalante departed Texel, Netherlands towards Batavia, Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 2 January 1827

An item reported that on 24 December 1826 the Dutch corvette Zr.Ms. Atalante captain lieutenant Blom left Texel, Netherlands towards Batavia, Dutch East Indies. On board was captain De Man appointed as commanding officer of the naval force of the Royal Netherlands Navy in the Dutch East Indies.

1. A so-called kuilkorvet. On stocks at the navy yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands 1823, launched 20 June 1826 at 13.30 o‘clock, stricken and broken up 1841, 776 tons displacement, 28 guns.
