Dutch motor ship Beninkust 1954-1968 (Pichit Samut 1968-1982, Danai 1982-1983)

IMO 5041138. Originally to be named Goudkust. Built at the shipyard Jan Smit Czn.,Alblasserdam, Netherlands in 1954 for account of the Ver. Nederlandsche Scheepvaart Mij (VNS)/Holland West-Afrika Lijn at the Hague, Netherlands. Gross register tonnage 3.354-4.592 tons, net tonnage 1.709 tons and a deadweight of 4.670-6.009 (summer) tons and as dimensions 118,55 x 15,61 x 5,37 metres. The Stork diesel supplied 3.300 ahp allowing a speed of 14 miles. Her crew numbered 42 men. Passenger accommodation for 8 persons. Used for the trade between Amsterdam, Netherland and harbours along the West African coast. In 1968 bought by Thai Mercantine marine, Bangkok, Thailand and renamed Pichit Samut and since 1982 Danai when she was property of the K Marine Line Co. Ltd., Bangkok, Thailand. Finally broken up at Samut Prakam, Thailand.
